MyWell is a smartphone app for collecting and analyzing data related to groundwater levels, rainfall amounts, checkdam water levels, and water quality parameters. Developed as part of the MARVI project (www.marvi.org.in), it aims to crowdsource data from the network of Bhujal Jaankaars, or 'Groundwater Informed' volunteers. The app is open for anyone interested in collecting water data to help manage groundwater in their local area.
The MyWell app is free of charge and displays real-time data on groundwater levels, rainfall, checkdam water levels, and water quality parameters, along with historical and village-level data for easy comparison and analysis.
Designed for farmers, community groups, NGOs, schools, and government agencies, the app facilitates the reporting of groundwater-related data for collective benefit. The collected data aids in visualizing trends in groundwater levels and quality, enabling informed decision-making and actions.
